La Ventana reaches out to the community to raise awareness and educate the public regarding eating disorders. We sponsor several programs in the community such as:
- Working with high schools and colleges to promote awareness and sponsoring of clubs
- Workshops given to put the public in touch with food and feelings
- Luncheons given with guest speakers and panel discussions
- Fundraisers to provide scholarships for treatments
- Organized walks to raise money and awareness
- Overeaters Anonymous meetings hosted at our office
- Monthly Round Table discussions for professionals in the field of Eating Disorders
- Free Eating Disorder Community Support Groups
- Laurel Springs continued education for high school aged clients
